ATLANTA (June 6, 2009) — Supermarket delis can now satisfy the desires of adoring Sweet Baby Ray’s® fans from their deli cases with fully cooked, heat-and-serve pork products featuring Sweet Baby Ray’s® Original Sauce. As the second largest selling retail barbecue sauce in the United States, Sweet Baby Ray’s® partnered with PrairieFresh® Premium Pork — a product of Seaboard Foods — to create the items. Seaboard Foods, a premium producer of pork, sells and distributes the products to retailers and introduced the product line to delis at the IDDBA Dairy-Deli-Bake Expo ‘09.

About Sweet Baby Ray’s® Gourmet Sauces
In 1985, Chef Larry Raymond perfected the family’s recipe and entered the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce into the country’s largest rib cook-off. He named the sauce after the nickname his brother got while playing basketball on Chicago’s West Side — “Sweet Baby Ray.” The sauce was so fine; the taste beat out nearly 700 entries in the rib-off. Within one year, Sweet Baby Ray and Chef Larry, along with a high school friend, Mike O’Brien, formed a company around the award-winning sauce and their simple philosophy about barbecue: “The Sauce is the Boss. ®” For more information, visit www.SweetBabyRays.com.
