SHAWNEE MISSION, Kan. -- Savory pork meals will be served across the Kansas City Metro Area and Oklahoma Panhandle this holiday season in part to Seaboard Foods donation of nearly 1,500 pounds of pork product to area food pantries and food kitchens.
The pork donations in December accounted for more than 4,200 servings of protein, using serving size of 5.5 ounces. The donations, from loins, ribs, bacon to pork steaks, offer a variety of meal choices for pantry clients and kitchen diners for holiday celebrations and meals.
